It is also used for navigation, timing, and mapping applications. It operates at 1575.42 MHz and provides a high level of accuracy and stability for location determination. GPS L1 band is the first and most commonly used frequency band for GNSS signals. The GNSS signals are used by various navigation devices, such as GPS (Global Positioning System), Galileo, and GLONASS, to determine the location of a receiver on the Earth's surface. GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) L1, L2, and L5 bands refer to different frequency bands used in GNSS signals.
